In preface, as an aside, and in anticipation of some comments that may be directed toward me, I offer absolutely no apology for my clustering of these topics within the same venue. In my personal opinion they are intimately tied and auger nothing but misery for anyone caught in their embrace. In fact, let me be perfectly blunt and clear about this: I consider the tenets of Islam (and anyone who embraces them unquestioningly) to be the single greatest threat that we face today to the continued existence of Western civilization - just as they have been throughout the ages, albeit slinking back into the dark during historic periods whenever it became obvious that they could not make further headway at the moment with outright aggression.
At some future date I may post a list of resource material (primarily books) that anyone wishing to pursue this topic may care to read. (Those near me can request loans - including a multilingual copy of the Koran.)
